The Reverend Amie Stuart Giguere, Minister

The Reverend Amie Stuart Giguere came to ministry through a heart for formation and teaching.  After spending many fulfilling years as a teacher, she felt a clear call to serve the church, stepping first into the role of Director of Children and Youth Ministries. She went on to earn her Master of Divinity with Honors from Andover Newton Theological School, with a concentration in Faith Formation — a credential that reflects both her academic dedication and her deep commitment to nurturing faith at every stage of life. She served two congregations in Connecticut before being called to Pilgrim Congregational Church in Harwich Port in February 2023.

Rev. Giguere was drawn to Pilgrim Church by the very things that make it special: a congregation with a genuine heart for others. From the Drop-In After School Center serving local families to Izzy's Team — Pilgrim's hands-on ministry to neighbors experiencing homelessness — she found a community that turns faith into action. She is passionate about fostering a church where everyone experiences inclusion and belonging, where people look out for one another, and where the doors are wide open to the surrounding community. And true to Pilgrim's spirit, she believes that joy and fun are just as much a part of church life as service and worship.

When she is not serving the congregation, Rev. Giguere enjoys life on Cape Cod with her husband, Bruce. Together they love the outdoors, chasing sunsets, exploring all that the Cape has to offer — and making their way through every local ice cream shop they can find. They are the proud parents of three adult daughters.

A perfect fit for Pilgrim, Marcia is a computer programmer who loves working with numbers.  As a department head at Kripalu in Lenox, for 12 years she was responsible for balancing the books and accounts receivable.  When she moved to the Cape she became the Treasurer/Bookkeeper for First Church in Harwich and was also employed at the Yarmouth Town Hall working in the Clerks & Collectors offices.  Thinking she had finally retired in 2019, she was asked if she would be interested in coming to Pilgrim. The rest is history.
In addition to serving the Church, Marcia raises golden retrievers.  AND Bubba's Mom.
